Q.  How much money will I be able to make through this vending business opportunity?
A. The income potential in vending is unlimited. Income will be determined by Location Volume, Profit Margins, Well Maintained Vending Equipment and the Quality of Service that you provide to your customers.
Q.  How will CompVend support my investment?
A. CompVend will assist you through every phase of the operation. We will pass on to you all of the support you will need to successfully operate your own vending business.
Q.  How much time will it take to service my route?
A. Generally, getting started, it may require 3-5 hours a week. For the more serious investor, the hours will be longer, but the compensation will be much greater.
Q.  How much is there to learn about maintaining the equipment?
A. The equipment that you will purchase through CompVend is of the highest quality in the vending industry today; this equipment can literally go for years without even the smallest malfunction. Sometimes, because of the fact that it is a machine, you may encounter something minor; along with the service manual supplied with the machine, there is always a toll free number you may use as a "safety net". If you feel you need "one on one" support, CompVend will be there to assist you every step of the way. Being "hands on" has always been the best teacher!
Q. Does a warranty come with the equipment?
A. YES, the new equipment comes with the factory warranty, generally 1 to 2 years. The refurbished or re-conditioned equipment comes with the warranty from the company that refurbished it. Generally, 3 months to a year.  CONLUX Changers and Validators come with a 4-year warranty.

Q. Is there currently a potential market for new vending operators?

A.  YES, new businesses are opening daily, many of  which would be great
Location's for vending. Also, many locations that currently have existing
equipment are good prospects due to the possible lack of personalized service
or outdated equipment being provided by the present vending operator.

Q. Do I have to Sell & Advertise, and what about locations for my machines ?

A. NO. You will not be selling like sales people on a show room floor or on a telephone or door to door. Your vending machine is your sales person. After you make a commitment to go forward, the first step will be to:

#1. Determine what your budget for the equipment will be.

#2. Discuss the type of prospective locations that the machines will be placed in.

#3.  -Option (a.) Make arrangements for one of our locator services to come into your home town, and begin the process of finding locations for your machines.  This deal is done independently of CompVend.

-Option (b.) You would forward the prospective account information to our office.  That being, the account or accounts that you are interested in placing your vending machines, along with the address, phone, fax and correct contact person who will be responsible for making the decision to accept your vending service.  At that point, our professional staff will use that information to forward proposals, and speak with the "contact person" at those prospective accounts.  Regardless, if CompVend was located in your home town or in Albany, NY (where we are located)  - the procedure for getting new business and setting up accounts is handled the same way.

#4. Deliver the equipment to your locations.

#5. Setup and merchandise the machines; after this has been completed, your good service is the best way to keep machines on location. The manufacturers of the products you are selling have spent a fortune on advertising and have created a huge demand for their product. You are taking advantage of that.

Q. Where do I locate my equipment?

A. Today's opportunities in vending are limitless. Consider all of the locations
close to your home.

Public buildings · Manufacturing plants · Auction houses · Billiard parlors ·
Industrial parks · Real estate offices · Apartment complexes · Fitness centers ·
Car dealerships · Hotels/Motels · Hospitals · Nursing homes · Factories ·
College campuses · Skating rinks · Golf courses · Muffler shops · Offices ·
Schools · Warehouses · Service centers

Q. Where do I buy my products?

A. You can buy from local candy, beverage and snack wholesalers in your area. You will also notice special deals at the nationally advertised discount retail outlets depending on exactly where you live. CompVend we will put you in touch with large national distributors who deal specifically with the vending industry. The large national distributors, who deal directly with the vending industry, normally offer the lowest product prices by far.

Q. What kind of products sell best?

A. We can provide you with a comprehensive list determined by a vending industry compilation, of the best sellers in each category. We will help you to determine exactly what products should be used in the type of vending machines you purchase.

Q. Do I need a truck or a van?

A. NO. Most people service their route from their existing vehicle. Once you have grown to the point that it becomes difficult to operate in this manner, you may want to consider another vehicle.

Q. Can I operate my business from my home or apartment?

A. YES, most people getting started in this type of business operate from their home.  There is no need for the added cost of an expensive office or warehouse.  All you'll need is a space within your home or apartment for your administrative tasks, and an area allocated for your product.

Q. How long will it take for the machines to pay for themselves?

A. Generally, if a machine can pay for its cost in two years, that would be ideal.  The two year accounts are the ones that we focus on for our customers.  A "Superstar" account covers its cost in 6 months.  A Excellent account covers its cost in 1 to 2 years, and a Good account will take 3 years for its ROI (Return on Investment).

Q. Where do I get started with CompVend, once I have decided to get "get the ball rolling"?

A. Your first step is to determine, will this be a part time for full-time business?  How much do I have as my initial investment for the purchase of the equipment?  Once these two questions have been answered, at that point you would contact our office and speak with owner of the company for consultation.  Generally speaking, for the person looking for a supplemental vending experience, we will suggest the focus being on Beverage and Snack Vending.  The reason for this being; they are the most popular vending items and most importantly, they command the highest profit margins!

Q. Can your business help me with the financing for the vending machines and start-up costs?

A. YES, we can get you in contact with Firestone Financial.  They are the leader in writing finance plans for people just getting started, and also, the already established professional vending company.  Basically, they'll do a credit check on you, and within 48 hrs. we'll have an answer on whether or not you've been approved.  If you have been approved; they will finance your deal for generally a 3 year term.  The interest rate is determined in part, on your credit rating.  The better your credit score is, the lower the interest rate.
